  1. 1 out of 8 couples married in the U.S met via social media, that just seems crazy. It's impressive how much social media affects our world today. "Social Media isn't a fad, it's a fundamental shift in the way we communicate.

  2. The iPod downloads hit 1 million in the first 9 months. That is crazy to think about. If facebook was a country it would be the third largest. That is unthinkable how many people around the world use facebook. Social Media is affecting our world in bigger ways than we can even imagine.

  6. I think that Facebook should be a country because there is a lot of people on Facebook and it would be cool if it was a country.

  7. The part where it says "What you put on Facebook, Twitter, etc. Stays on there." That is true and it is scary. Some of the other websites though that will be coming up the list will most likely be topping all of these.

  9. Social Media has a ridiculous effect on what we are exposed to, and it is a very easy way to build or break a reputation for yourself. Many people post without thinking, and have no ability to take back what they said. Even if your set to private, there is no real end to who can view your content. For example, my friend Hunter Van Haalen used social media to spread around a video of the nastiest dunk in high school basketball history. His Twitter account was set to private, but the video still got out to the public mainstream, caught wind, and went viral extremely fast. It reached over 1,120,000 views on Youtube in 1 day, was featured on Good Morning America, and he will more than likely be taking place on afternoon talk shows before long, all due to the power of social media networking.

  10. This video speaks the truth. Social Media is taking over, and who knows, someday maybe we won't interact face to face, but only through tweeting and posting status updates. What a scary thought.

  11. The comment about Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Spears having more followers then several countries is crazy!! They must have a ton of good tweets. I really think that social media will continue to grow and develop as we keep learning and improving

  12. Crazy how much you can learn in a 4.5 minute video. I found all of those facts very interesting. I couldn't believe that if Facebook were a country it would be the 3rd largest. I also saw some names of websites I had never heard of, so I might check those out!

  14. It's scary to think that Facebook has so many users, that if it were a country, it would be the third largest. It's almost disgusting that 1 out of 8 couples married in the U.S met via social media. People are losing the skills they need to interact with individuals; and the sad part is, social media is not done growing. It's going to keep developing and improving; spewing out more information, destroying or helping our lives. It all depends how wisely we use it.
